Hi,

I am new on this forum and have seen many interesting threads regarding PPC campaigns, arbitrage etc... What seems to me weird is that no one is talking about affiliate programs. I am working in this industry for about three years and I had some affiliates that were making $40,000/month with my program. Of course you will ask me in which field it was and I will answer you casinos! But now I am out of that field and still believe that choosing the right affiliate program can easily help you to make a lot of money from you traffic. You have to choose the right program that sells a product that your audience is interested in. They give you all the marketing tools you need, they give you updates (which improve your ranking on google), they pay you every month, you have a dedicated account manager, you can check your stats online...the only thing you have to worry about it SEO.
Today there are affiliate programs for any kind of products, they give you (depending of the industry) between 15% to 40% revenue share, it probably worth for you doing the math and check out if you would not make more money by being affiliate rather than selling CPM on your site.

Any reaction, past experience? I am interested!:bigear:

First of all, welcome to WF Chouchoukaren!
Although many threads here are about arbitrage, I think most WF members are familiar with affiliate programs as you described as well. Your 'user title' says that you are an affiliate manager, are you willing to tell us what you currently doing in the internet marketing field? :)

Here is the problem with affiliate programs coming straight from someone who makes a damn good living promoting them....

What was your casino willing to pay to get a customer in the door through your affiliate program?

What was that same casino willing to pay with its own marketing to get the same customer in the door through their own efforts?

My experience (and I have a lot of it) is that the 2nd figure is anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times higher. (To be honest casinos might actually be a poor example, but absent the porn, pills, poker verticals, I have never seen an exception)

If you do any volume at all with any network or any affiliate program, push hard, really hard.
