Recently i have created the review lens on Squidoo.
I applied some promotion, including web 2.0 promotion.
In less than 24 hours my webpage was in Google's index, but
the next day i typed the url in Google's search, nothing came back.

My Squidoo webpage disappeared from Google's index and i don't know
why. It can't be SandBox right?

I mean Squidoo is a trusted authority site. Why would Google delist its
sub sites?

What's the problem here?

First of all, Google has lessened the authority of Squidoo websites because of the spammy nature and tendencies of Squidoo.

Second of all, there is no set # of links you can get to stay on the edge of the sandbox. You can buy 500+ dirsubs off the bat and only feel the positive effects. Besides, it's not like Google instantly knows what backlinks your site is getting. It has to crawl them all first and the nature of crawling ensures that Google will gradually find backlinks.

Third of all, why are you using Squidoo? That's pussy shit.

I use Squidoo only when i want to promote software i have worked with or know about. Once i create webpage, it would often appear on first page SERPs after it gets indexed. The page on Squidoo, that i was talking about compares two software applications.

After i created webpage, i immediately applied intensive promotion the same day to that webpage.

I submitted it to tens of 1 tier search engines, i added it on many blogging directories, i pinged it twice with 2 services, i built backlinks from many Social Bookmarking sites including Story Submission sites.

All this i did in one day, so my webpage disappeared as fast as it appeared first time.

by Google for too many ping and too many pongs is what you did wrong. Where do you get those SEO tips? Black Hatting for dummies?

I am not getting those tips from anywhere. I find information and overwhelmingly use it.

Well... This time it seems i exaggerated really.

I find it's rather easy to get a Squidoo lens banned ro heavily penalized.

Actually I think Google is penalizing Squidoo based on certain keywords and niches too. I have one lens that used to be first page for many keywords in a niche, top 1, 2 or 3 spots for many of them. Since December only 1 keyword is still ranking for #1 position, the rest are all way off the first page. This all happened in 1 day.

I do find after 3 months that lenses tend to rank rather well in Yahoo.
