I'm selling a wordpress based site, and trying to figure out how to bundle it up in DirectAdmin and transfer it to the buyer. However, every single tutorial I find on this process deals with cPanel.

I've tried backing it up, but it is on the same user account as like 8 other websites. When I try to backup the single site it backs up ALL the sites, not just the one I want.

Does anyone have the steps for doing this in DirectAdmin?

I stated in my auction that I won't be providing installation assistance, just the files, so it's on them to restore it properly. I just want to know how to bundle up the files and database into a zip file correctly.

Not sure what the issue is? Just unzip the full backup to your desktop, pull out the "domain.com" folder (whatever your domain is) from the domains folder and then go into the "backups" folder and find your .sql backups for that domain. Done.

The issue is that I didn't know it was that easy. :action-smiley-052:

But seriously, thanks for the help.

Another quick question, would the buyer need anything else? or just the domain.com folder and the .sql backup? What if he is restoring it to cPanel?

I wasn't being a dick, I just thought you were thinking there was more to it. And nope, just the "domain.com" folder and then the .sql from the backup folder. That would be everything they need.

Nah, didn't think you were being a dick; I just thought there was a lot more to it. I back up my sites on a regular basis, but never actually looked into the backup to see how all the files were structured in there.

Thanks for the help. Much easier than what I thought it would be.
