Do you do CPM?

Adbuyer.com lets you access inventory from RightMedia at small increments. I ran a quick $50 test to judge CTR on one of my banners, and I was actually able to get a decent CTR at a $0.20 CPM bid (though none of it converted, that was probably a landing page problem since I was more testing CTR than CR).

I'm the founder of AdBuyer.com, and we've seen a number of affiliates come from WickedFire to get started, so wanted to provide some additional detail on our services. If this is "promotional", sorry, but we got the same questions over and over.

We're aiming to provide a complete front-end for direct response advertisers to the ad exchanges. Our first release allows geo-targeting, language targeting, and site/network targeting. Behind the scenes, one of our account managers can help setup additional targeting options for you. These include re-targeting of non-converters from either search or display, demographic targeting, and channel targeting. A release in early January will make all of this self-serve for advertisers.

We offer two types of optimization:
1) Dynamic CPM bidding is enabled by default for CPM buys. This learns which sites convert for your offers and will bid based on the likelihood of conversion. It takes some time & test spend for this to kick in because the Right Media exchange has a lot of inventory, but when it does, it's very useful because it gets rid of the bad inventory automatically.
2) We will help make recommendations on additional targets that might work, based on a series of statistical optimization algorithms that we're developing. You can, of course, ignore our recommendations.

We're a startup, so very interested in knowing what else we can provide to help our advertisers succeed. Thanks!

I personally recommend staying away from the Right Media Exchange Network... the traffic quality is CRAP. I really mean it. Banner traffic is usually converting at a much lower level than any other kind of traffic. When you use Right Media, it is even worst!

There's a ton of low-quality traffic and a ton of high-quality traffic in the exchange. Sites like Yahoo, Verizon, Comcast, Hi5, and Ebay etc are all good quality, and there are lots of long-tail sites that perform well for advertisers.

For advertisers with very small budgets, we recommend starting with either a re-targeting campaign off of search traffic (which works extremely well) or a highly targeted campaign to your demographic.

VJstar broad sweeping statements like that don't really help anyone in my opinion. There is good traffic in right media but much like other traffic sources it takes some tweaking. If you do a RON you'll probably take it in the arse.

I would stick to Adwords, otherwise you'll get locked into a contract without the ability to optimize to CPA targets.

Seems you got no idea what the RM Exchange really is. If you buy from a crappy source or RON, then yeah, quality might not be the best.

Yeah, not true either. You usually can get 24-48hrs out clauses. And every single place I bought from so far has let me optimize towards whatever CPA I wanted.

We're trying to make it as easy to buy from the Right Media exchange (and eventually, other ad exchanges) as it is on AdWords. You can set up your account with as little as $25 on a credit card, there's no commitment, and we're focused on providing tools to optimize to CPA targets.

We're also about two weeks from releasing a build-your-own creative system that will allow advertisers to start with flash-based creative templates and customize to their own needs.

Sounds great. While I haven't launched my latest test on Adbuyer.com due to some offer and landing page issues on my end, that will definitely make things a lot easier.
