so, it was about 3 weeks ago,

i saw a Job ads on craigslist,

saying that they are hiring e-bay workers.

i applied, they said i need to apply job by contacting the manager via MSN messenger.

so i did... oh btw, do you guys know, OverSale.Org ??

i googled the web address

and i saw their ads on Alibaba

http://www.alibaba.com/buyofferdetail/100707456/Looking_For_Electronics_Supplier.html

They said they are the international seller, and they have their own stores all over the world, the main company is located in Russia.

so basically,

i list the items they tell me to list.

mostly expensive electronics.

and i western union them the money,

and they dropship the product to the buyer.

Here is the conversation between me and that maneger

Raphael says:

job@oversale.org says:
We made this so our employees in USA will not pay for International phone fees

Do you think this is a scam?

because, i think, after i sell an item , and after i get a payment from the buyer, and i send the money to "OverSale.org" via Western Union.

There is a possibility that they are not going to dropship the goods.

and i'll be in responsible for that shit, since i'm selling things with my E-bay Accounts.

hmmm?

help me.

Well, I would recommend doing more research on them first. But as I'm sure you saw, Googling them only gives 4 results.

I wouldn't risk it. They are not at all established. The domain is just a couple of months old, they don't have a PR or an Alexa rank yet (though those don't always mean much).

Also, the salary is way to high for a job as simple as making eBay listings.

I could go on and on. As you said, they are your eBay accounts so it is your responsibility to ensure the buyers get their goods. If they don't get shipped, you need to provide a refund to the buyer - after you have already sent the money to OverSale via Western Union.

It's definitely a scam. Russia, Western Union, you using your own account...yep, a scam.

What will happen:
  • They send you list of items to post
  • You post them on eBay
  • You get paid via PayPal, check, whatever
  • You Western Union them the money
  • They DO NOT send shit
  • You get the chargebacks and fraud problems
  • They made a ton of money and are completely safe in another country

It smells funky...the domain belongs to someone in the US (apparently). Call them up and see what the deal is using the whois # not the one they gave you :)

SHIT

i knew it!

i almost listed the items on e-bay.

and i asked them, that if there are any other ways to send the money other than WU .

and they ignored me.

so fuck ! AHHHHHH

Thank you!

funny shit,

there grammer is like shit, even though mine is pretty bad too.

job@oversale.org says:
If you will not list the items in the next 24 hours, we will cancel your employeement with us

It sounds like a Nigerian scam to me. It'll be their own buyers. They'll send you a money order and you'll think you got the cash and then you western union them the money. By time you find out the money order is bad, you'll have already western union'd them them money.

Yes, that looks similar to the check mule scam, where the scammer posts an ad in employment classifieds for "international buyer wanted", then someone sends you a fake check, you deposit in your bank, keep 10% and send them the rest. A couple weeks later some guys in black suits give you a ride to the nearest federal magistrate, and you're stuck having to prove that you are not the scammer.

It also could be part of a larger scam, where the scammer gets someone to buy a bunch of expensive electronic shit with stolen CC numbers, convinces someone in the US to take delivery, then have them ship somewhere else. SO the scam would go like this:

Step 1. this person :smokin: buys stuff on ebay with stolen CC numbers
Step 2. this person :hollering: takes delivery of the items
Step 3. this person :stonedsmilie: takes lists of items and puts on ebay, sell, deposit money and WU it to this guy :thefinger:
Step 4. :hollering: ships the items to buyers, who just happen to be :smokin:
Step 5. see step 1

All parties are being scammed by :thefinger:
they do not know each other, or what they are really doing. Until it's too late

To be honest, I'm kind of surprised you even gave this offer a second look.

It is a Scam, they get the money with Western Union, items don't get shipped and you get chargebacks..

Why do people keep posting to this thread that "it is a scam" when the OP has already said thanks and realizes that already?

Fail!

Scam for Sure

They did a story yesterday on the local news here, and it's the typical stuff you see regularly. The girl in the story signed up with a company to be a 'Mystery Shopper', buying products, filling out surveys and reporting back to the 'company'.

They sent her a counterfeit check (or money order, don't remember), she cashed it and used the cash to buy different products. Just a few hundred dollars worth or whatever it was, she then sent the remaining funds (from the $4,500 counterfeit check or money order) back to the 'company'.

Guess what happened then ? The bank calls a couple of weeks later and tells her the original check or money order is no good, and yes, she can keep the products, but she bought 'em, not the 'company'.

The Detective in the story said they believe most of these scams are still originating in Nigeria, and basically there's not a damn thing that they can do about it.

It was on the local news, but it looked to be a network story, and the interview of the girl was done in front of a Career Builder advertisement, so don't think if you find an offer on a creditable site, that it's guaranteed to be a legitimate offer.

If you get a check or money order, and have to send cash back...IT"S A SCAM!!

Some people are dishonest, there's even 'SOME' on the Internet.

BOTH MYSELF AND A FRIEND DECIDED TO TRY THIS GUYS METHOD OF DROP SHIPPING. TURNS OUT IT IS 100% A SCAM! HE DOES NOT SEND THE GOODS AND KEEPS THE MONEY. WHEN YOU TRY TO CONTACT HIM AFTERWARDS HE DOES NOT REPLY AT ALL. HE NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!

I BEG EVERYONE WHO SEE'S THIS NOT TO TRSUT THIS SCAM ARTIST, HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DIGNITY.

I have dealt with this guy before, he takes your money and does not ship anything! I beg anyone who runs in to this guy to run as far away as possible as he will take your money and you will never hear from him again and you will have to deal with eBay feedback and PayPal disputes.
