Does Google like AdSense?

Ok, so I'ma chump (maybe) compared to alot of players on here but I have 1 site that I spend most my time on for organic traffic... it's my baby.

FOREVER i've been trying to get it to #1 for it's EMD, it's a competitive field and despite all my trials and tribulations I was always at #5 on average -- between 3rd and 6th.

So 2 days ago I add AdSense to it. I've done nothing else other than post new content for about 3 weeks.

Today, I'm #1.

So... has Google made any major algorithm changes? in the past 48 hours? Cause the dudes who were beating had junk sites (IMO) where I'm authority as fuck (IMO).

Otherwise... I can really only attribute it to me adding AdSense...


Thoughts?
 


haha, ok... obvious thing seems obvious... I'm trying to get a grasp on (noob here) if adding AdSense to a site is actually part of an overall SEO formula or not...


I guess I also figured that the mighty G wouldn't rig the game.... "don't be evil" -- amirite?
 
Interesting observation. It would lead you to think Google ranks your site higher with their ads. It only makes good business sense on Googles part. This could stir some controversy if proven true.
 
So yeah, I never said I thought "Google Hates AdSense" I was just a little shocked to find that it actually effected SERP.

So, I was average of 5th, added AdSense shot to #1 (see previous posts) in 48 hours.

I removed AdSense after remaining #1 for 48 hours and now I'm back down to 5th/6th

I JUST added AdSense back on and I curious if I'll be back at #1

I've done NOTHING else during all this time.

Ok, so, I added AdSense back on, and less than 24 hours later I'm back to #1


So while I may not be contributing any revalations here, I'm still shocked to find that simply adding AdSense improved my ranking 5 positions all the way to #1 for a pretty competitive term.

Were you logged into Adsense when you were seeing #1?

For micro niche sites, don't put adsense code when the site goes live. Do some link building first then after a month add adsense to boost the ranking. Just a thought

I've seen that the traffic increases gradually if you add new content. For example, whenever I updated my site, the traffic would fall for a few days and quickly go up afterwards. So, it's the result of you adding content continuously. No love for Adsense. Google makes money anyway, it doesn't need to pull you up the list because the other sites might also have adsense already.

Let me know what you think about this.
