I'm currently starting a CL campaign, and am curious if I should be using Easy Ad Responder (same guy who puts out easy ad poster) or Aweber for my autoresponder service.

With Aweber, can I have em responding to all incoming emails, or do they need to opt-in somehow?

Sorry this is a new area for me.. any advice would be appreciated.

I dont know if aweber offers an auto responder service, but if not services like yahoo mail and gmail do.

You could have a yahoo/gmail account that auto-responds with a URL that links to your aweber squeeze page to get them to opt-in to your list.

Hm see, I'm trying to take responses emailed, hit them with a message.... and when they respond a second time.. have a second response for them.
I don't want them to have to opt-in though.. They're emailing ME.. Therefore I don't feel it's necessary.

And I just payed for Aweber...
Anyone want to inform me how to do what I stated above?
This shit is confusingGgGg!

Thanks

There is nothing more useless then a "we got your email and wanted to email you to let you know we got it, so just letting you know we got it and we'll have a human respond at some point the future but as long as you know we got your email, we think that should somehow make you feel like we're more on the ball more then having a real human respond...so thanks for your email", email.

Why not just respond to it yourself when you have the time?

if ur targetting less than 1k visitors for a start, just use autoreponder unlimited...easy and free

We use aweber at domainingtips.com and nearly all of our sites. I am 99.95% sure that it can even respond to people without the confirmation. However, if you once switch on the verification, you can't turn it off.

you mean..

1. do you want an autoresponder like what beejeebers described.. (receive an e-mail and it'll reply with another robot email)..

or

2. the autoresponder like aweber (where you can set emails to be sent to the subscribers in advance)?

since you've got aweber, why not just direct them from craiglist directly to your opt-in page..

or.. i think in most webhost there should be some email service that do just like what beejeebers described.. so after they send you an e-mail, just set it to respond something like "the problem can be solved.. sign up here.."

Got a refund from Aweber and purchased easy auto responder.
EXACTLY what I was looking for... This thing is incredible coupled with easy ad poster deluxe.

aweber is not known for its good GUI. but their deliverability is good. if you want to use server based autoresponder, use auto response plus. that's the best you can get.
