After reading the hot thread by Travs on making money with directories , i have been inspired to give it a try myself. After looking for different directory websites, I really like what eDirectory (eDirectory - Online Directory Software) has to offer. However you have no control of the website design or function (unless you pay $1500 for the privilege) I posted a new project on eLance to create a directory software similar to eDirectory. Looks like we can get a directory template similar to eDirectory cranked out for $9,000. This is something that we can use over and over again for several websites and have full control of the function and design.
Is anybody interested in partnering up and splitting the cost of production? We get enough people together and we can have a state of the art directory website for a minimal investment.
