Found a .org EMD brand domain that gets 85K exact monthly. I'm still unsure on how all the legalities work.. I posted another thread asking about the legality of celebrity names in the domain.

Would someone plz clear this up for me so I can stop wasting time on pointless domains, if that's the case.

people use them but there is a chance you will get it taken away from you.

Its happened to me a few times

It might be worth it to you if you have minimal investment for the return. I had a ZumbaFitness EMD that hit page one without backlinks and made consisten money for months. Eventially Zumba Fitness contacted my host and the site had to come down.

I also have a few others that the companys really dont seam to give a shit about.

if the comp is east I would give it a shot and throw some shitty site up on it.

some site on flippa just sold that was making good money with the term nikond700 or something like that in the domain.

I would not advise you to go for EMD branded domain. If, somehow, you manged to make the domain live legally then ranking for branded domain would be extremely difficult for you.

You could get it taken away from you BUT make some decent cash until it does. How much money do you estimate it would take to rank the site?

serp iq score is 58.

with 77, 60, 78, being the scores of the top 3. Not really at a point where I could estimate such things. If I had to guess 3-400 bucks.

I think I should prob shy away from this one, but it's in a clothing niche, and a high dollar clothing one at that.. with xmas coming up.. and a little gamble on a certain spam package.. It seems as if the potential for an affiliate site would be high?

Give it a shot, even for the short term.

I had an up-and-coming company brand EMD.net and ranked #6 within a week. The company emailed me with a cease and desist after a few weeks. I made a few sales through their affiliate program, but the owner was nice enough to pay me $200 for my work and for transferring the domain to them.

Then again, not all sites are like that...

It's likely the very reason it's available is because it is a brand, otherwise the domainers who do this full-time would have snapped it up.

If you're willing to take a risk, then create a site and sell it to either the top competitors or the brand.

Top competitors will never buy it from you. They will rape you so hard in the arse till you cough up the domain.
