From what I know so far, there is no exact value you can put on domains like this. It might be worth $500 to someone who is planning on putting some adsense on it, but it could be worth thousands to someone who would want to brand it or build a marketing campaign around the domain. All in all, it looks like it could be useful to someone sooner or later, so I would just hold until an appropriate offer came in. If you had say energydrinks.com then I'd say jackpot
 
Raize is right - I've never heard anyone say the term "energy soda". However, this domain is absolutely worth holding on to. I think there is a great possibility that the term does start getting thrown around in advertisements and product names.

I think it's a pretty nice domain, but I wouldn't say it's worth a huge amount right now.
 
I had contacted him about this domain the day he listed it. For what it's worth he told me he's already gotten offers for mid X,XXX.
 
Raize is right. It could be worth $500 or $50,000. It just depends if you are able to connect with the right buyer. You are always going to get top dollar if you are able to connect with the end user who already sees value in your domain.

If the end user already knows what they want to do with the domain and sees how it's going to improve their business they will be willing to pay top dollar.

It's not going to get more than 500-1,500 from an investor.

Best of luck it's a good domain. The true art is reaching the right buyer.
 
Two words, not common use, but close to energy drink. Considering how much money is involved in the energy drink industry, the right buyer could definitely pay a nice price for it. I suggest getting it into one of the bigger moniker auctions next year to test the market.
 
If you are not getting any domestic interest, assuming you are American, try to find some other countries that speak English and value the .com. Do some research and see if they use the word soda more than drink, pop or juice and then market your domain to potential buyers in that area. I don't know what the energy drink business is like abroad, but you might get lucky and find an emerging market :)

Think of a concept for the site which will work.
Maybe something which nobody has thought about and make a single yet unique site and then you can sell out at xxxx$
 
Hold it for a while. Between Vault and Pepsi Max, soda companies are branching out into energy drinks.

That being said, google "soda" and see how many results you have to wade through before you find Coca Cola's site.
