Evening from (not-so) sunny Dubai...
Name's Jason, got into making money online three months ago. Started off content writer in the summer ($2/500, fun memories) and eventually moved on to higher rates, as well as getting an Adsense account and building semi-successful proxies.
After that I moved into the eBook game, a not-so popular topic I've heard - anyways, it made some money and took a little time to do so I loved it - sadly, it wasn't a source of sustainable income, so when my eBook site sale goes through today at SitePoint I will stop eBook marketing of my own altogether.
I am a Digital Point member, and was recommended DP as the forum to visit by a buddy I met online - I have started to find it boring though with the general bitching, lack of original discussion and creativity. I was also recommended Warrior Forum (which I browsed; the members are smarter than those that troll DP, but boring nonetheless) and Wicked Fire - after hearing good things and liking what I saw, I'm (hopefully) here to stay.
Being a university student, I have plenty of time on my hands, but a slight abhorrence to doing that thing call work - it's the main reason I haven't done bum marketing yet. Ever since finding about that you could actually make some money off t'internet I've been wanting to do it permanently (rather than the boredom of a full time job) and thus I will be starting with affiliate marketing as soon as I get approved by NeverBlue Ads.
This forum is supposed to be the king one in that aspect and hopefully we'll both be able to help each other. At the moment I have a little bit of startup capital but not much else - I'm going to start with the email/zip submits (I believe the method came from a member here) and eventually move into other forms - building landing pages, maybe a bit of article marketing (although most probably PPC) as well as a bit of email marketing (if my autoresponder holds through).
I hope that I can add to the community as much as the community will add to me, so I'll just share a way I used to earn quick cash on DP. Doesn't work anymore as they banned Adwords account sales, but be creative. Startup costs = $0 if you have a load of spare domains + time, or minimal if you're lazy like me.
Apologies for the long most, and a good fuckin' evening to all

What I thought of, a long while back.
There's a link in Adwords that gives you $60 credit per time you register. You need a 'business' email (blahblah@domainyouown.com).
Ex: Google AdWords
Vouchers (used to) sell on Digital Point for $5 / $50 credit. Here, you could get them free.
What I did (well, hired someone to do because I was way too lazy for manual labour).
I had 50 domains spare - changed the nameservers all to my server (this I did myself).![]()
Paid someone to:
1) Addon the domains.
2) Setup email addresses (admin@domain1, webmaster@domain2 etc) for the 50 domains
3) Forward the email addresses all to one main account
4) Go to that Adwords link, and use a proxy to fill it in 50 times (for 50 emails) = 50 vouchers
I paid someone $20.00 to do that.
Now, fifty $60 vouchers in Adwords = sale for $5 minimum, sometimes $6. Considering everyone was selling them at $5+, you could sell 50 x $4.5 = $225 ( - $20 ) = $205 profit.
Server crash ruined it, but I made around $150 profit off the first round.
Apologies for the long most, and a good fuckin' evening to all
