Everyone is a Billionaire in Zimbabwe

Out of all the FIAT currencies I'd say the dollar is the safest bet for them, pretty much everything is tied to the dollar for now.

Future is in the hands of BRICS? My slippers are laughing loud.
China will have to replace all coal-fired power stations and heavy industry soon, which will drop its GDP significantly. It will begin to grow rapidly again afterwards, but several years of stagnation are imminent. Removal of coal dependency will also strike many countries that currently sell coal to China.
India has potential but their economy isn't really that strong, due to 180 days a year being religious festivities, when nobody works. They will have to do much work before Rupy becomes a contestant of USD.
Russia.. well...the question is not IF it collapses, the question is WHEN and what can EU do to save gase pipelines.
Brasil... I don't remember them having a space program, major datacenters, huge stock markets? They are strong on the South American continent, but they are not a mtach for behemoths like EU or the US.
South Africa also depends hugely on coal supplements to China, though selling diamonds keeps them really secure and independent.
Thus said, BRICS will definitely face tough times soon. They will either reform and become stronger or will collapse.

As for Zimbabwe... well... dropping national currency and going for USD seems the wisest solution for them, as their economy is in really bad shape
