I’ve never done email marketing before via Aweber or any other service of that nature so I’m in need of advice on what to do.

For the last 3-4 months I’ve had a consistent stream of weight loss niche traffic hitting my landing page. The landing is just a custom page that informs the users about the CPA product.

Along with the consistent traffic, I’ve been getting consistent conversions on the CPA offer as well. Running the traffic to the landing page, and then to the CPA offer has worked well for me, but now I wonder if it would be better to capitalize on the traffic by having them join my list first.

My source of traffic is FB traffic, although the source has been good for a few months, FB could theoretically implement some changes that would cause it to dry up. That is why I think it might be more beneficial for me to collect the email address first so that even if the traffic source goes away, I’ll still be able to market the product and related products to the subscribers.

If I do decide to collect email address, should I send the traffic to a squeeze page first, and then after they convert on that, redirect them to a CPA offer?

OR

Should I just capture their email and not redirect them to an email offer, and instead email them the CPA offer via Aweber after I have a few 100 emails?

Thanks for any insight into this.

This part:

Should I just capture their email and not redirect them to an email offer, and instead email them the CPA offer via Aweber after I have a few 100 emails?

Should actually be this:

Should I just capture their email and not redirect them to a CPA offer, and instead email them the CPA offer via Aweber after I have a few 100 emails?

CPA offer, not email offer.

Sorry for the double post, wouldn't let me edit.

If you have a autoresponder, you could have set emails to be sent out at respective days and let it do all the work for you. You could thereafter focus just on getting more traffic to opt-in to your list

Capture email first but make sure you send them good content once a week along with the CPA offers. AKA keep the sign-ups warm

Should I hire freelancers for my content? Is that what typical list marketers do?

What if my nice whas Biz Opp (which I currently have traffic for as well)? What type of content would I provide for the biz opp list?

Why wait to hit a certain number? If your list only contains 50 people and 10 people convert you're still making revenue, build it and milk it.

If you're interested in a JV where my partner and I manage your list for you, doing content and monetizing, then PM me.

Get the email. After they subscribe, send them to a landing / thank you page with a link to the offer or a review on it.

Setup an autoresponder series to deliver great, free content over the next few days. Then on day 4 email them and get them to purchase. Then continue sending free content. You need to build trust before asking them to buy...then continue to nurture that relationship with your list by providing plenty of free content over the next few months. Mix a few other aff offers in there as well.

I've tested different sales funnels on one of my weight loss review sites, several million visitors. This is the method that always worked best.

I do have a weight loss PDF report I can share if you need some incentive to opt-in.

If you just send people straight to the CPA offer, you'll lose out on any future sales you could squeeze out of that overweight person. Chances are when people try your CPA offer they aren't going to lose any weight - they will continue to be fat and disgusting, and as a result will likely to try a variety of different products as time wears on.

Collecting emails without a doubt is a prudent long term strategy, especially when you feel that your traffic source may be only temporary.
