Has anyone had any luck with facebook ad's for an international audience? I'm thinking of countries like Australia, New Zealand and England.

I'm thinking soccer and maybe rugby although these might be oversaturated.

How would I do niche research to find out what things might be popular for people in these countries?

Well, me and Johnmatrix are Aussies.
I'm happy to answer questions about what's popular, but I'm not exactly a typical "bloke".
Dunno what's being advertised on FB at the moment either. I shudder to go back to that site because people will start poking me with Zombies in flowerpots... or something.

International offers have just as much as potential - if not more due to less competition - for the few offers that do allow it. :) Give it a shot; the only way of finding out what works is by trying it out. With Facebook, it's not very difficult to do either.

Common misconception. The international market is in fact more saturated due to the lower traffic numbers.

As per the OP's question, I'd suggest proxying and signing up for a UK facebook account to see what's being run over there. I know a lot of people are doing the eHarmony - UK on Facebook.

If you sign up as a single male in London, you will get approx. 99% dating offers on FB. I have male/female accounts in both the US and UK and in my opinion the male UK is ripe with opportunity. As long as you are not looking to push dating offers.

Yeah, dating will not work with UK traffic. It's a waste. Don't even try it.. you will lose ALL of your money.

Keywords dont really work that well on facebook unless u have a real particular niche. For example like..a very popular sport like NBA or basketball. But nowadays with those crazy campaigns and how facebook designed their system...haha its FUCKING HARD.

I tried to get a few ads approved for True-Canada, and each time they denied them stating that they could not view the destination page. Apparently the interns that week were not briefed on how to use proxies to view international offers. So, I just gave up on that one.

You people are so silly.

Why don't you direct them to the True-American site via a .php header redirect, set your click prices at 1 cent. Once it gets approved, you can edit the php file to redirect to the Canadian site.

Problem solved, biotch.

I was doing that with my original ad account. Well, I was directing them to some generic dating offer and then after the ad got approved I switched it to a much more "adult" themed site that obviously converted a lot better. This worked well for a couple months but then my entire account got suspended.

Now that I'm using my girlfriend's account...I'm trying to exercise a little more caution!

Make a new account. Takes about 2 mins max.
