FB Inconsistent conversions

Has anyone ever had this problem?

I start running high volume FB traffic (at random times), then the first maybe 10 conversions come in consistently like 1-2 per minute, then there will be a black hole for about 1-2 hours with nothing, the conversions get more spaced out.

At first I thought it was my server not being able to cope with the load, so I upgraded to rackspace cloud hosting, but it still happens.

I've got no idea why.

Maybe it's the offer? I had the same problem with an offer I ran recently, and I suspected it was the advertiser shaving, based on the fact that my other campaigns don't really have that kind of inconsistancy.

Scrubbing most likely - I assume something with that many conversions its an email submit/dating campaign? Both scrub like crazy.

It could also be the time of day, but that is highly unlikely if its that abrupt.

happens with me on gaming offers aswell... i honestly havent been able to find out why... what are you pushing?

This isn't scrubbing - I know that for sure, it seems to happen to nearly everything I promote.

This particular offer is not an email submit, conversions are sales worth about $35 each.

Maybe this is app traffic ratio throughout the day? I average about 70/30 non-app/app traffic overall. The app traffic obviously converts way worse - I just haven't broken the data down hourly to check.

This happens all the time with what i run (not email submits/gaming/gay)
It just seems clumps of users convert then nothing for a while. Who knows why, just how it is.

It's not scrubbing because I own the offer.

ok next thing i'm looking at is day parted data to see if its the same time/day when this happens or at least within a tight time range. im also looking at server load averages during that time (top is your friend). im also looking at my demographic data and offer to figure out is there any reason why this could be happening (sometimes thats pretty obvious). Some shit just works at night. Some shit just works on weekends. Some shit just works Mon-Wed after schools get out. If you have a lot of experience already with this vertical and that hasnt been the case then you can pretty much rule out that though.

Bottom line is that if its not scrubbing then its either a technical thing or a demographic thing and I would be working on looking at both in your situation. If you would like me to take a closer look send me a pm.

I think you're onto something here conv3rsion, I just took a look at server load and I'm maxing at 17.46

My money goes on scrubbing, most likely shaving from what I have been experiencing in the last few months.
