Not really a fan of your header/logo. My first impression was it seemed childlike, and didn't really give off a tech impression. Just seems like a childish font.

My other nitpick would be that the homepage feels very congested. I found my eyes darting all over the page trying to take in all the headlines, sidebar blocks, etc... Nothing drew me in and kept me there.

Those were my first impressions after clicking through. Good luck with your site.
 
I have to agree with Rockdiesel that it feels a bit cluttered right now. I do think you have a good concept and the layout isn't that bad, but I would try to look at it from the perspective of a first-time visitor.

Try to figure out what is your most important content and then emphasize that using color and contrast. The part that gets the most attention right now is the dark meta info in the left sidebar. Its by far the darkest spot on the page and draws attention. Change that and emphasize maybe the headline more instead, would be my advice.

And that header... It doesn't fit at all! You definitely need to change that.

You do have a good start though :)
 
It's very busy on the main page. Also add some padding to your boxes with the borders, all the text touces the border it doesn't look right.

The logo is ugly, you would be better off with just plain text then that thing you go going on.

Correct, logo is a piece of shit, but the overall layout is pretty good I could find my way around easily. It just needs a bit of padding.
 
Yes, I agree with the others. Looks very cluttered. It's hard to focus one one section of the site. With that being said, It looks like you've got some valuable content on the site. So it's not like the site is completely rubbish. You have a framework to build around.

Also, the logo looks like something out of microsoft word clip art. If you want I can design you a cool web 2.0 logo for a small price. PM me if you'd like.
 
Personal opinion: I don't like too much information on a home page. Your text ads on the left side even make it look more cluttered.

I suggest a different font and more space between lines. Play a little more with colours too.
 
Thanks for all your valuable suggestion. Even I hate the header logo and looking fro someone who can make one at a small price for me..
About playing with colors, as it is a tech related sites I did not want to make it more funky. Still I will go ahead and play with some colors and make the head line more appealing.

Personal opinion: it felt busy and claustrophobic, I don't think users know where to click or what to do or even what to look for. The header absolutely has to go-spend the money and get a professional design.

Adsense is all over the place, maybe take a block out or 2, and create a CLEAR navigation menu on the side.
 
My opinion is pretty much the same as everyone else, way too cluttered. You might want to try and use another form of advertising other than adsense. Perhaps on the header you can have categories with drop down sub categories instead of two seperate bars. Just my 2 Cents
 
Most of what I was gonna say has been covered already. But you should keep in mind...
