No big deal.. I made digg front page on first day I launched my photoblog... It got me over 60,000 uniques within 24 hours of its launch.
Digg & SU users love photos.The blog was infact launched keeping stumbleupon & digg in mind. I managed 6 FPs on digg in its first month getting it over 3 million hits.
Digg banned it for spamming

I've been messing with blogs and other types of websites lately. I've gotten small spikes from Stumble and Reddit - can get about 200 uniques on a good day but almost no conversion yet. A month and a half of experimenting has yeilded less than $10 adsense income.
So my next goal is to get a better sense of targeting and what crowds are targetable.

It's a good number considering its just your first day. It could be better depending how you would market it the coming days
Set up firestats and you will know exactly where the hits on your blog are coming from instantly.
