So, I posted this over at DP too, but I figured it was probably way more worthwhile to talk to people who actually seem to know what the fuck they are talking about...
I just did a new layout for the site (Credit Cards site in my sig...) and ive been trying to get my on page SEO in order and doin well. I think ive nailed it pretty well (Suggestions are welcome).
Anyway, my site has NEVER been indexed by Google. According to Google Webmaster Tools the Googlebot has crawled on average, 7 pages per a day in the last 90 days. I cant see where it shows the last date the Googlebot visited my site but according to my AWStats I have had 23 visits from the Googlebot. It gets really scary when I go to Webmaster Tools to Statistics>Page Analysis and I see the the "In your Sites Contents" portion... The words its displaying are error words like:
unknown
failed
getcredi
public_html
denied
lib
permission
stream
usr
include_path
inclusion
local
null
opening
My site is currently having no problem with PHP Includes, MySQL queries etc that would cause the pages to kick out errors with words like the above....I did a thing where you can view your page as the Googlebot and except the fact that it didnt find my stylesheet and 1 image it looked fine, no errors, no nada.
EDIT: I submit sitemaps regularly and it says it downloads them Ok
Does anyone know if there is a way to update that info?
Is there a way I can see WHEN the last time the Googlebot visited my site?
Is there a way I can tell for sure if my site has been banned? My site has been up since late September 2006 and I have never been indexed.
Now, im gonna go out on a limb and say my site is banned from google... While this is a credit card site its never been overly spammy, when I first bought it Yahoo had cached alot of spammy looking URLs. Im thinking that the domain was banned before I ever picked it up...
I submitted a Reinclusion Request last week and havent heard anything from Google...
Also, does anyone know of some htaccess code to redirect an entire domain to a new domain that will keep the URL after the domain... Ex: http://olddomain.com/credit-cards/bad.php > http://newdomain.com/credit-cards/bad.php
