Guyz, what do you think is the future of mobile advertising? Lots of sites nowadays are popping up on this theme. I am planning to go for promoting a couple of my websites through this channel. Do you guyz think its worth it?

It is coming ...Now to what extent?

A lot will depend on the rules and regulations the Telco’s/FTC put into place. In addition, content licensing will come heavily into play. ...Royalties are a killer in the US.

I'm with you on this one.
I'm trying to develop some cheap blue-casting units (the ones I see for sale start at about $300US, and there's no way a NiCad battery, cheap processor, 64mb of memory and a bluetooth dongle cost that much or should be the size of a hardcover book!)
because I've noticed the vast majority of people are stupid enough to leave their bluetooth on discoverable mode.

Seriously, if you can get a small blue-caster, load it up with something, and drop it off in the local shopping mall in bot plant or something. You'll get hundreds of hits on the damn thing!
Maybe hang around, make sure no one spots it. Maybe just wander the mall the whole day with it in a backpack.

People have been predicting the mobile advertising explosion for years. Hasn't really happened. I mean until they can find out a way to do it that doesn't annoy users, it's not going to explode any time soon.

Another reason that advertisers (myself included) are reluctant to get into mobile advertising is because it's hard to take action via mobile device / handset. It's hard to order a product, signup for a service, etc. Until this process becomes easier, it's going to be a while.
