The campaign I got slapped on was search and all sales. Anyone know if cloaking affiliate links somehow prevents a slap? It would make sense but then again I'm not even sure which methods of cloaking their bots can and can't detect. I'm sure their QS bots don't follow a robots.txt file and XCMP even mentioned that they're downloading JS now.

It is almost obvious that they're targeting affiliates in various niches and I'm sure this range of niches is much larger than any of us want to admit.

Wouldn't blame anyone for not posting their theories publicly but always appreciate a PM (if anyone is feeling generous and has any pointers on avoiding the slaps.)

How many pages does your site consist of? Do you have privacy policy, terms & conditions, contact us, etc etc?

Over 30 pages of relevant content, privacy policy, terms, contact, all that good stuff. Even had a fair amount of back links, the whole nine yards.

There's no method to the madness, no rhyme or reason. They probably spent the last 1-2 months flagging campaigns, then hit the button to shutdown them all down last week. Who knows.

Even though I'm sure it would hurt conversions, have you tried buying traffic for one site with no affiliate links on it, and then linking to another domain with the offer iframed there?
