Google ads "under review" for almost a week

Is it typical for google to have an ad under review this long? It was prohibited because it contained the word "pill" and I requested an exception almost a week ago.
 


change your ad. if it show "under review" over 5 minute, they won't approve your ad.
 
I know that is true for standard ads, but how long for ads that need an exception? 9which I believe require a manual review)

This is becoming the norm with google, you'll either just have to wait or email them, my advice is to just wait for your ads to be approved.

if you not change your ad, the ad will under review over 100 years.
It's my experience.
 
I was waiting for approval for 2 weeks, then I deleted whole campaign. Cant imagine tweak things with these delays.
 
Everything I have done lately has been approved within an hour.
Not long at all.

So email them if your not scared to.
 
I finally got approved within 24 hours after emailing them (their email can be found by wading through the FAQ)
 
i waited two weeks for a ad to be approved, thought they might have overlooked it so i edited the ad and I feel like Im now at the bottome of the queue again. Mighty long wait.
