Someone told me a good strategy for adwords is to bid high at first and if the ad gets clicks, the cost will come down as time goes by. He said you can lower your bids slowly over time until you get into the profitable territory.

I tried this and, sure enough, was able to start lowering my bid limit. I got to a certain point, however, and all of us sudden all the impressions stopped coming for all my keywords. I checked and found that the reason was that someone with the same display url was bidding higher...wtf.

So...being the smart guy I thought I was, I created a landing page so this would not happen again. After all was said and done, all my keywords got a "1" quality score with a minimum bid amount of $5 each..wtf again!

This all seems like a Google scam to me. They might as well display a message saying, "Thanks for the dough....sucker...now unless you're ready to hand over some more cash....fuck off!"

Are there ways around these problems? Thanks in advance!

Get a new domain and if your QS doesn't increase open a new adwords accounts. I got slapped last days and up on my way again :)
