Yeah, I always wonder how long a cookie really sticks to a user. I clear cookies all the time, but there's lots of marks out there who don't.

I figure the people who would use this clear their cookies anyway. People who don't know about cookies will not opt for this. I usually don't clear mine. I find something through an affiliate, and I believe it is a good product and I end up buying, they can have the commission. I guess it would be hypocritical for me to clear my cookies and then expect other users to keep them.
 
Well is is clear that google has done it for a reason and it is because of the recent court case. I think overall it is a good thing that they give the option to the users though most people won't be doing it anyways.
