Google slaps today?

I had a campaign promoting two separate pages on the same domain (nearly identical content, was A/B testing) get Google slapped today. QS went to 1 on both pages.

This was unique content (I wrote it myself from scratch), thought it was promoting a rebill offer. Guessing the rebill is why my QS went to 1? Should I try to start another campaign promoting a new page name on the same domain, or is that just asking to get banned?

Thanks for the advice.

ugh - guys, it's not just rebills getting slapped.

google is slapping ALL affiliates left right and center.

a) cloak your links

b) white label if you EVER can

c) throw something up to appease google's "added value" requirement (ebook, whatever the fuck)

d) pray

ours got slapped, but because we had some bullshit mallware script that somehow got on our LP and we didnt put there. Slapped all camps, hopin to get back up today.

Its funny how people think there is a specific day where Google wakes up and decides its slapping time.

Matt Cutts is like a traffic cop at google, he has to meet his slap quota by the end of the month (yes, I know cops don't actually have quotas, kthx.)

there are ABSOLUTELY days where google decides it's "slapping time" - they go after specific niches at once. working as an AM and seeing a vertical completely decimated overnight is common.
