Any ideas / pointers on how to monetize the whole handheld computing thing? PDAs, mobile phones, UMPCs, the lot. Amazon doesn't have enough variety, Ebay ads *might* work, ... Any retailers with aff. programs in the field?
Do you mean monetise the buying of the device or software or targeting the users of handheld devices?
There seems to be a lot of aff. programs for hardware and some for software (I remember looking at a Palm music program one a while back).
When it comes to selling stuff directly to users of handheld devices I don't know much but believe there are some ad networks that support WAP/GPRS but then a lot of devices now show the full internet - so you can sell them pretty much anything! (Depending on their OS and browser)
I am looking at offers for hardware and software for either people looking to buy such a device (hardware) or already have one (Accessories, Software).

Consumption Junction has offers like this?
Sure there's loads of sites selling hardware with good aff. programs.
A couple that spring to mind are ebuyer.com and dabs.com - they are both UK, but there must be similar ones in the US (or wherever your target market is).
eBay is always a good bet too - maybe through AuctionAds to get higher commission?
Emp, I just went to CJ and searched for "PDA", there where several programs that popped up.
Just wondering, what's the reason that everyone seems to hate CJ? Low payouts? I like the smaller networks too, but you can find almost anything to promote on CJ.
