Hello.

Recently I signed up for AffiliateBOT.com and signed up for a few programs, hosting a simple site on cheapsupplements.vacau.com

I have 45 clicks and 0 sales, I think I'm going down the wrong road and need redirecting

What do I need to do to make money? I don't want to go a week of working with 0 sales as I will get very frustrated. Please advise me!

Thanks a lot.

The first thing you need to do is get a paid webhost. You won't be able to scale past 45 clicks if you run your site as subdomain on some site no one's ever heard of.

Second, you need to realize that 45 clicks is not enough data to determine whether or not you're doing something wrong, but even though that's true, I'll tell you right now - you're doing something wrong.

What you need to do is redesign your site. I have no idea how you're getting traffic, but whether it's PPC or link spamming, you need to cater to your visitors based on how you presented the site.

You basically need to redesign the whole site to give people some actual VALUE. To be quite honest your site is a piece of shit, and it seems that all you want is people to click on one of your ridiculous advertisements. If that's the case then go ahead and use a php redirect script to send the clients straight to the product site, no need to look at your advertisements, realize that it's bullshit, and click out.

So basically:get a webhost, get a domain name, offer value, sprinkle on some ads, and hope that someone clicks on them. With how your site looks now I can guarantee that you will not make any money. Just because you simply put effort into a site that you consider will work doesn't necessarily make it so.

Thanks, basically I made a simple one because I don't have the php/html knowledge etc..

How do I go about doing it without programming knowledge?

And should my site describe only the product I'm marketing? or just content in that theme/category?

Do yourself a favor and READ before doing anything else. As for the site, get a host and combine WordPress with a free template and you'll be set to make your own site without any real knowledge.

Thanks, I wouldn't really know what kind of blog to make and what content, let's take an example of health & fitness..

You see those get ripped in 4 weeks sites, what if I started with one of those, I would need to consistently blog tips on how to get in shape? Please give me a little more information, or an example of an affiliate marketer on the net.

Cheers.

Also, affiliate marketing seems like a real hard piece of work to pull off. I read that it's usually got a 90% fail rate.. are there any examples of success stories on wickedfire?

It's not really a site, it's a page of banner ads. Kinda reminds me of my first site, except mine was on geocities, had a black background and about 20 more banners (all unrelated to one another). I also was getting paid per impression, so after about 3 months, I had earned almost $0.75.

Go to wordpress.com and set up a hosted blog. You will still be on a subdomain, but it gives you an opportunity to learn how to use it before buying domains or hosting. When you get stuck on something, read. When you get pretty good at it (meaning you know what to do to make it look however you want), you can download a copy at wordpress.org and host it yourself.

You'll eventually need to do this because their hosted blogs are somewhat restricted with regards to plugins and allowed php functions. You can also register a domain later and point it to your wordpress.com blog so that you can keep the blog there but promote your domain instead of myblog.wordpress.com.

For the content, forget about the banner ads. Use the text links instead; you will be writing blog posts to describe your experience with, or give a synopsis of whatever you promote. The goal is to make an ad that looks nothing like an ad.

Take whatever you are promoting and research it in the search engines. Read what others write about it, take what you learned and write your own commentaries. Drop your links in the content in strategically appropriate places. Also, don't use your actual affiliate links. You are gonna need a bit of technical knowledge for this part, but there are several plugins that do the dirty work; you will want to redirect from a link that you (the plugin) create to the actual affiliate link. You may even want to redirect directly to the order page, just make sure your aff id is properly tracked.

There are about 10,000 other things you can do, but this will give you a better start. When you get stuck on something, read.

Thanks man.

The redirecting thing, is this because when people hover over links they will find my affiliate links and not want to click them, so you mean I need to mask them as a direct link? I would have no idea doing this..

and also, is it okay to do this using AffiliateBOT, a free network.. because all I get from them are direct links to use that goes to these sites, and of course banner images etc.

I'm installing an email subscription thing to a test wordpress site at the moment, that could work also..

thanks!

I need to plan over really.

Decide on what kind of blog/products to market.\

Get a suitable domain.

Post content.

Get traffic.

Get subscribers/divert traffic to products and affiliate links.
