I know im not going to get the best answers here.. most likely some disses and "go f#$k ur self" but I'll try anyways...

I have a landing page that is converting, or converted well.. but google adwords has been driving me nuts, I optimized the page the way they told me (adding contact info, some text, policy..) but still they say to optimize it and want to charge like $12 per click.

Maybe you guys can give me some advice.. by the way im not making any $ from AM.. ive been on it on and off. Hope to stay on it now and bust my ass.

Thanks

its a very ambiguous question w/out seeing the exact page and keywords because anything could be the problem

Re-create it under a new adgroup, and see what happens.

Once Google doesn't like an adgroup you're pretty much screwed... sometimes your whole account is penalized. I'm pretty small so I just have one account, but a couple guys I know have one for testing and another for stuff that has done well testing and their cpc can be wildly different.

Try another vendor... ms and yahoo can still be good sources of revenue - especially if you find a coupon.

7search is NOT that awful, but I do prefer MIVA for cheap traffic .. I do some domain arbitrage but mainly blend my type-ins

I wonder of recreating under a new SUBdomain would work, since in other ways G doesn't hurt the root for the actions of a SUB.

BTW, I get a small but decent (and converting) amount of traffic from 7Search for a few specific keywords, for $0.01-0.02/click, and that keyword/traffic converts at $0.35-$.90/click. Arbi does work in the right cases...

Are you using the keyword in the ad text and if possible in the display url? You should be.

You're not giving enough details in the question, could be one of a thousand variables. So, go fuck yourself. Or, give us some details on how you're optimizing, and I'll do my best to help out.

I've been at this for over a year now, and I still get extremely pissed off at google on a weekly basis.

Some quick tips. Use the keyword in the ad text twice if possible. Use the keyword in the header, title tags, meta tags, description, and body text. Sometimes the domain gets fucked over. Go buy a domain that includes the keyword, if it's converting well enough to justify the purchase. It may be your CTR. Change up the ad text, shoot for a better CTR and a lower bounce rate.

Google is a bitch. Welcome to the land of easy money.
