hi there, i have tried to learn what i can from reading all the posts and feel i am quite close to being able to SEO my site.

I have some articles, and have posted them in a few different blogging/article platforms.. each with a link to my site with title being the keyword, i also have a link to Wikipedia and a link to the next article, blog...

I hope I am on the right lines to creating a link wheel of articles to do with my keyword... and then I am going to buy some back links and point them to one of the articles rather than my site directly.

Can some one please take the time to let me know if this is the right way? Feel free to rip my technique apart! I want to rank The keywords not very competitive and a local one, "kitchen fitter in Bournemouth" and i have minus bucks in the bank account so am trying to learn SEO myself.

Thanks,

Don

Well, link wheel is not only about linking your content... Its more about publishing good content (I guess, good content is the backbone of link wheel)

Your linking strategy is pretty fine make sure your content is also informative and engrossing.

Thanks Tedel & C.Rebecca,

Will get to work on it, may i ask another question about the articles ?

I have written my own good articles that are to do with my keyword. Am I right in thinking that the more quality articles there are in the wheel the stronger the "juice" and the further up the page i will get?

Also i have read that google doesn't like duplicate content, so I am just submitting each article once. Is this right for long term SERP gains?

Can I not post the article and also have it on my site, or would this be counter productive?

Cheers for your help this far.

Google is searching the net on a daily basis, in a non-stop way and examining links which point at websites. Link wheels, reciprocal types of votes and three-way listings can be named as methods which have been invented or created by webmasters. As long as the links added to your website are on pages which are accessed and crawled by Google, you can name the links counted, although there is a debate about values which can be achieved through participating in the plans.

sounds like your on the right track just make sure all the content is unique or at least spun to a decent level of uniqueness!
