Well everyone, im typing this with one hand and my right eye is almost swollen shut and I just got home from the ER.. Here's why:

So last night me and my buddy were driving home and we were going around a sharp corner and somebody was speeding in our lane so we swerved out of the way, smashed into a steep hill and my friend lost control of the vehicle and we flew of a 20 foot drop and totaled the car, rolling at least 20 times and we landed right on the passengers side where I was sitting. The reason I'm so fucked up right now is because I wasn't wearing a seatbelt. My face is cut up and swollen severely and my shoulder was dislocated. My left arm also will not move even an inch.

So the real reason I'm posting this thread is not for pity, but I just want everyone to know to wear your seatbelt. Also, I won't be able to have much discussion on the forum anymore. I just need to rest and hopefully things will turn out ok.

I'm fine though, but, want me to post a picture of my face? Haha.

You are alive. That is the most important thing. Everything else is gravy.

Here is to a speedy recovery and a hard lesson.

Wow, crappy break. At least you are alive and in basically one piece. Your body will probably heal a lot in the next week.

I scratched my cornea once. It is a scary time. After a few days you will probably feel much better. And yes my eye was 100% ok in about 2 weeks.

That sucks dude, but glad you're okay.

I have to disagree about the seatbelt part though. I know a guy who got into an accident (wasn't wearing his seatbelt) and got thrown from the car. The car rolled about 10 or 12 times down a hill and killed all the other passengers (who had seatbelts on). If he had not been thrown from the car, he would have died like the others.

LOL....

THAT is what is called pure chance. Or "statistical outliers".
For every one with a story like this, there are 10,000 saved by seatbelts.

I wear mine religiously, as I had a few close calls (with seatbelt) and a few friends as well.

Needless to say, you get into my car, you buckle up.

Damn man...

Can't help but think, you're lucky to be alive. From the way you described the crash, it sounds like it could have been much, much worse. Hope everything is ok and you have a speedy recovery.

There's a $300 fine for not wearing a seatbelt down here... Damn good reason for it too.

After your story, dude, you're so fucking lucky that no being so pretty anymore is the worst trouble. 20 rolls? I'm surprised you can still walk, to be honest.

Still, two good things can come out of this:

1) You'll buckle up next time. Why you weren't wearing a seatbelt in the first place baffles me, honestly.
2) You can go on a Zombie Shuffle and not have to bother with makeup at all.

i always have my seatbelt on, not because i think its safer, but because its just second nature.. you get in the car and you have a seatbelt on, its part of being in a car.. bad luck bro, heres to a speedy recovery

yeah i have a mate that never wears his seatbelt.. he just refuses to wear it. I feel naked without it and 8 airbags.
