Maybe wrong forum but anyway. I was wondering how hosting companies can afford such high payouts to affiliates (not that im complaining). I mean i checked with hostgator and they pay $125 per signup if you send 11+ a month and they stay signed up for 2 months. Also it doesnt seem to matter which plan they go for, i mean they have ones at $5 a month!

Its not just hostgator either, i know godaddy and dreamhost both offer around the $100 mark. Im just curious, how can they make this money back?

Well I typically host websites longer than 2 months. So I guess you could say I'm on the hosting rebill. This is actually a standard business model for rebill type companies including insurance companies.
