I want to create a website for a specific college sporting event that happens every year. My intent is that people would visit the site to get various information on the event regarding the venue, how to buy tickets, hotel room, transportation, airline travel, etc.
I've see many sites like this for just about any and all events in sports, conventions, trade shows, major auctions, class reunions, church events, etc.
I'd appreciate being directed to anything I could read to learn about creating and operating these "event websites", what affiliates programs others are using, etc.
