How accurate are awstats / statcounter geoip stats

its pretty accurate so long as the information is not spoofed, they use a reverse ip type system to pull the ip's owner, country, state, and even city.

I use them for one of my sites, it does cost money, but the data it pulls is more than comparable to anything else out there, the main thing that got me was the live data.
There is a lot of people saying woopra is the shit, but its pretty limited if you ask me.
