I suck at graphic designs and don't have Photoshop but I do have GimpShop which is a free version similar to PhotoShop and I was wanting some advice on how I can make some catchy designs using this technique. I just created a affiliate program and have had it online now for almost a month but the design of it is not up to date compared to some of my competition. I would love to redesign the graphics on my site so it is more flashy and interesting. If any of you here could help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. (I would post my site address so you could see what I am talking about but would want approval from mod so I ain't breaking any rules, it is in my profile though.)

IMO, the amount of time you will spend trying to figure this out is going to be worth far more than the cost of hiring someone to do it for you. Have someone make a few for you, see if you can recreate them in your spare time, then try one yourself.

More "flashy" is not what your site needs! Dear god, my eyes! :)

Anyway, to somewhat answer your question - Don't start with gimpshop. I prefer to use vector graphic tools for designing logos/headers/simple graphics. They are scalable, they are nice and clean, etc. Obviously you would then export the vector graphic to a png or whatever for use on the web. Once you have a good vector image, you can always incorporate photos and such using gimpshop or inside the tool of your choice really.

If you want a free vector graphic tool, download inkscape. They have some docs for how to use it.

Of course, looking at your site tells me you need a lot more than just header graphics. You need professional help to get your entire site made over (and probably a new domain name). That's way outside the scope of this question.

When doing shitty illegal pyramid schemes, the normal protocol is to disguise that fact by making some crap product the main focus, and the referrals as an added bonus.
