Hi,
I have a lot of trashy links going to my site thanks to the wonderful services offered on WF.

However, my link profile looks like shit thanks to all of the shitty links going to it.

Does anyone have suggestions how to build high quality links? Is there a service or strategy someone can recommend?

Thank you!

how are you defining quality? There are lots of service providers in the BST section of this forum that offer high-quality backlink packages. You are going to need to spend some money if you are looking for high-quality links.

Fire up Open Site Explorer or Majestic SEO and analyze your competitors. One is sure to have quality attainable links. Either build them yourself or try to find someone resourceful from oDesk.

Most people try to avoid this tactic because there's no shortcut - persistence and resourcefulness are the only way.

That's a good suggestion.

I define quality as no spam, a reputable site and looks organic. I have a lot of social bookmarking and xrummer type links. I also have a lot of BuildMyRank links.

Any other suggestions?

use manual submission like

directory submission
article directory submission
blog comment
social bookmarking
press release submission
RSS submission

I do all of these things, but my linking does not look organic. It looks like a bunch of random sites linking to me.

Any ideas on how to make it look more organic?

G search for you keyword, go through first 1k results, manually drop links on whatever results you get. Many will be nofollow, this looks natural.

Do the same for some longtail KWs as well.

I think this makes sense, but if I'm wrong, correct me, please.

What do you mean "manually drop links"?

^^ he means if there's the potential to submit a link to the site then do so.

In the same search, find some indexed pages with decent, relevant content and ask the owner to sell you an in-content link for a year.

quality links means permanent links

do manual blog commenting, article directory submission, and social media bookmarking
