How do I fix config problem

I've had this problem before and usually gave up. Now I need to learn how to fix it. I'm trying to download PHPlist and I had to reconfigure the config file which I had put into notepad. My problem is what do I do with it now? I assume I need to move the reconfigured one back to the original config file. If so how do I do this.
If not then what do I do next?

Generally, if you give a file the same name as an existing file, then the new file will effectively become the old file and the old file is pretty much gone (at least in your case). Sometimes it will ask you if this is really what you want to do in case you change your mind. Other times it just goes and does it anyway.
 
OK I figured out how to change the files but I don't know what I'm supposed to do from there. I have the reconfigured config file what do I do with it?
 
Sorry if this comes out wrong, but I must ask- have you uploaded the package to a webserver?
