How about geolocal+geocaching+kids+RPGs+iPhone?
thehiddenpark.com
This is a fascinating app for the iPhone ... it's a kids' RPG that is focused on one of several actual offline parks, basically turning a given park into a geocache/easter egg hunt with prizes in the form of digitally-enhanced photos of the various creatures the kids found hiding in the park.
The framework of this idea could be applied to almost any geo, any demograph of player, monetised with local sponsors and promoted via local charities and word of mouth (plus the sort of crazy buzz any cool geocache experience tends to get online.) Nice upsell for a local SEO or local directory service too (premium "Sponsored By ..." ad space, that kind of thing.)
Anybody doing anything remotely like this?
