Sup yall,

How do I go about finding a good OPM to run the affiliate program for my web app?
Do I typically need to grant them an exclusive deal?

I figure I'd go about meeting OPMs at ASW but would like to know in advance.

Thank you!!

While exclusives are preferred, I wouldn't give it up until you see results. You should be able to work to get the offer tested with a few and compare them and go with the top one. What type of page/offer is your service?

There are a number of agencies/OPMs that are attending ASW. I figure your product might be better tailored towards traditional affiliate networks than CPA networks.

Just a quick glance at the meet market list, the following agencies/OPMs are signed up (in order of the list):
Schaaf Consulting
iMarketing Ltd
eAccountableOPM
PartnerCentric

I'd talk to the traditional networks as well (CJ, GAN, ShareASale) and see who they can recommend for an OPM (aside from their own services). Looks like I'm blind, or Linkshare doesn't have a table or booth, but I'd forget them anyway.

From my stance, I'd recommend iMarketing, and shy away from eAccountableOPM. Let's just say that I had a look into an account that eAccountableOPM had in the past, and immediately got rid of trademark poachers and a ton of fraud that had been occuring for a while, and was never caught by them. And I caught it within a half hour of looking at the account for the first time.

I thought they were going to have a table at least, but I know Gen3 Marketing will be there, as well. A few people over there are former GSI guys (as is the guy heading up iMarketing's affiliate management right now).
