Hey guys, I finally was able to install wordpress on my website. It took a bit of work, but I finally figured it out and the tech support guy at 1and1.com web host help me out where I made a mistake in my 'wp-config.php script.
I watched a screencast by a woman named Rachel Cunliffe who made it all possible. For any of you noobs who are interested, here is the link to the screencast tutorials eSnips Folder

You can download from there. You will need a viewer that supports swf files. Which I went to Google, typed in 'swf viewer' and got several results for free viewers. I hope this helps anyone that may have been confused like I was. Now, I can monetize my wordpress blog and do away with Blogger.

Also, I downloaded Filezilla for my FTP account software.

Someone who wants to install wordpress maybe? Don't flame, this is the newbie section dumbass.

A dumbass, you obviously didn't read the Rules of Engagement, I would suggest you take a quick look before you butt gets canned!

I wrote this post because I knew that there were probably others who were less tech savvy who were in the same position.

PS Just because WF is about expressing yourself, don't get it twisted andthink that you can act like a total and complete azz which you're doing right now.

yea, this is the noob section.. Probably should have better lead your post by pointing it to : How I Installed Wordpress.. As its kinda pointless, as in the title it looks like your asking how to install.

Lazy,
I think that depends on the Cpanel that you have. I am with 1and 1 hositing and they dont have a one button installation thingy. But I also learned a few things along the way with the tutorial screencast.

Little tip - if you've got cpanel you can install it in about 3 clicks through fanstastico.

Ah right, I assumed it was standard. It's been on every cpanel hosting I've had. Not used 1and1 though, and won't in the future - had a domain with them once and it was a nightmare!

Now you've got it installed you'll prob want a good template and a shit load of plugins... check out this thread:

If your that new to wordpress, get a hosting account at GoDaddy or somewhere that they make it as easy as clicking a button until you learn the ropes a little bit otherwise I'll have to write out an entire long ass thread at 1am in the morning.

Maybe I'll do something like that for the wordpress newbies later this week.

bubbles was replying to a deleted post, some guy said who the fuck cares, got a lot of neg rep so he deleted his post and now bubbles looks like a dickhead :p

Yeah, Illusion I saw the guy. No reason why he would be so neg on something that was meant to help.

Aequitas, I HAD already gotten with 1and1 hosting. But for future, i think i might try a different host that allows you to just use a one button installation.
