What is the easiest way to transfer my wordpress site to another hosting. My host is so damn slow.. like 99% downtime.. Anyways, is there such a program or plugin that doesnt need to touch the database. I dont know much about phpadmin, databases and stuff..

thanks..

Well ya gotta back up your DB and phpMyAdmin is probably the best way to do it...Basically you backup the DB, put it on your new host, copy every single thing exactly from the first host to the new host, and then change the wp-config file to reflect the new DB info.

That should do it.

There is a plugin called wp-backup from skippy dot net Also you can log into phpmyadmin select the database, then select export then clcik select all. Saving it as a SQL file is usually fine. leave it intact or zip it up if it's too big. If you don't zip it you can just click go. it will load the whole database in a editable form. Copy it. From there just go log into your new host go to the database on the new host with the same name click SQL and Paste it in, then click Go!

Errrr... there is a button in the admin panel called "export".

Manage --> Files --> Export

Only other thing you have to grab is pluigins and the theme.

Set up the blog on the new hoster, go to

Manage --> Files --> Import --> Wordpress

And you are done.

Worked flawlessly with the blind ape.

PS: Oops, forgot about images, the blind ape didn't have any.
