How to use paid traffic to split test my sales copy?

Hey Guys,

This seems like a question that should have been answered before, but I can't find any info on it anywhere.

If you know of any products or threads, please direct me there, or answer this...

I have a product that I created, and I want to buy traffic, prolly thru AdWords, to split test the copy and optimize it for more sales.

But you can't direct traffic to a landing page, so what is the best way to get as much traffic as possible to my page?

Maybe I use the phrase "landing page" differently, but I direct Adwords traffic to landing pages all the time. Now, if you don't own the site you may have some issues, but seriously - it takes very little effort to put your content on your own site. Once you have that you can direct Adwords to any of your pages. Your only concern at this point should be your Quality Score.
