I am a total noob that does local affiliate mkt.

Here is my situation:

I have a friend who works at a start-up company that has this $180,000 annual subscription to really in depth demographic information.

I had him run some reports for a local client and was amazed at what he found out.... this program gives him demo's buying behavior of an age group & sex in a geographic area.

It also provides their favorite tv show, magazine..etc..

This stuff is really powerful, however, I don't know the best way to use it?

Since it lists interests, magazines, shows, etc. should I maybe look into some facebook mkt? I also was thinking at looking at some affiliate products and doing some demo research on who buys them.

I am very inexperienced and just wanted to make sure I capitalized on this the best way I could.

Any insights or ideas?

Happy new year and I hope this year is very successful for you!

Well, you have to look at where you can target those types of demographics. That would probably be very useful for both direct advertising markets and facebook advertising. This is obviously assuming it is very accurate.

Sounds like MRI, which is an in depth research study used by ad agencies to match appropriate media with product. Unless it has questions specific to FB, it wouldn't be reliable.

Here's a suggestion...avoid the temptation to break into this biz by ripping off a proprietary study. I mean, if you are going to make it come up with a sustainable biz plan.

You fucking reckon?
I mean, it only allows you to target people by area and interest keywords... and you only have all this information on people's interests within a certain geographic area...

Any advertising platform that will allow you to go after specific keywords, and geo-target it is exactly where you should be using this information.
