I just got rejected by Hydra and I'm not so sure what I'm doing wrong.

I am still starting out and being a newbie is very frustrating. Since I'm still new to Affiliate Marketing my websites aren't pulling all that much traffic. I think this is one reason my applications are getting declined by affiliate networks. I've also read not to give out your landing pages to the affiliate managers, which I haven't done either.

What's something I can do as a beginner to more likely get accepted by these affiliate networks?

yep call and speak with them, you could also have the person who you signed up under call.

are there any ways other than calling?
i have tried applying a few times and i got rejected as well...

but i have already generated more then 5 figure using primary ads... can i use that as proof to get in?

Sheesh! I do have a day job.

I just called them. According to the rep I spoke to it has nothing to do with my current traffic. It's most likely the fact that I'm still new at this and they want me to get more experience and the ball rolling a little more first. Then I can give them a call to reconsider. I don't even have to reapply.

I guess I'll have to apply somewhere else so I can get the experience she's talking about! At least I still have Commission Junction.

Tell them you plan to promote dating or ringtones via PPC. They like that :-)

Try and sell them your ppc marking e-book, or maybe just trade them for acceptance.

Don't forget your newly learned lesson, whenever anyone asks about your experience just say "oh like 20 years dude". It works every time ;)

Actually when I applied to Hydra, Copeac, and Neverblue, I told them I was doing ringtones with Azoogle (I was doing $1000/day with ringtones at the time) and wanted to expand to new niches.
Needless to say, they accepted me very quickly :)

top agencies dont want lame ass newbies is a waste of time and resource.... its like u walking into Dells home office and tell them u wish to buy one wholesale pc as your just starting out and need to get the ball rolling. Its comma sense nobody wants to deal with newbies. Its the same in all industries total waste of resources. Get some experience then apply

Make sure you send them to an "impressive" website. I'm guessing you're showing your primary website as some shitty page, use a nice one..

I don't see the big deal, sign people up and let them be on their way finding their place in the affiliate game.
It's actually a waste if you don't let people be a part of your network.

Turning people away solely based on the estimated capacity of revenue they can generate is something i wouldn't do.

If that person you turned away is starting to well with another network, it could have been your network that could see that revenue coming in.

How?

The whole thing is automated by a fricken server. It doesn't need to take any human resources at all.

Let them in. Let them learn.

I was also rejected by Hydra. Well, actually they said they were going to e-mail me with their final decision, and they never did, so I think it's safe to call that a rejection.

However I signed up with LinkShare and almost all the offers I've applied for have been approved so I'm just focusing my energy on those for the time being.
