So...I have been reading about Affiliate Marketing for a couple of years now. I keep seeing the same ole crap over and over from people who either have no clue what they are talking about or misleading info from people who are making a living online and do not want to share what really works.

People always recommend that new affiliates start with Amazon or Clickbank. But I just don't believe it.

And then there are the gurus who say that info product creation is where the real money is. Im not so sure about that either.

Does the world really need another E-book? There are already millions on Amazon & Barnes and Noble.

Finally, everyone keeps driving home the importance of building a list. The money is in the list!

Oh yeah, sure. How long does it take to build an email list of any significance. 2 years? 3 years? Longer?

I want to make money online now. I have great business and management skills and I know what customers want because I deal with them daily. So all I need is a good product to sell and a way to get traffic to my website.

So where do I get both of these without spending thousands per day on google ads just to break even? That's NOT a good business plan. Anyone who does that or recommends it does not understand business.

Also, anyone who is happy about making their first Clickbank sale after 6 months of trying is an idiot also.

So...what's the real deal here? How can I truly learn Affiliate Marketing?

It looks at though you have been reading, but you haven't been doing anything else. You aren't going to know any of the answers to your questions unless you try them out yourself. Don't listen to what others are saying, test it out for yourself.
 
I'm really thrilled you posted this in the affiliate marketing section of this forum as opposed to the newbie section because it gives me the opportunity to share some valuable information that you would have missed out on otherwise. This is the BEST newbie guide you could possibly read. If you really want to be successful and hammer google with affiliate marketing, this is the way to do it.

Also, idiot who sells a ClickBank product after 6 months of trying is an idiot. Genius who doesn't sell a thing for a couple of years but reads and reads and reads is a genius.

You should start doing instead of reading. People who make serious coin online aren't going to spell it out in some $27 ebook. What they know is based off EXPERIENCE and nothing more.

There's a ton of money here if you do it right, but you don't do anything, you just read so I'd probably pass on this if I were you. It requires some experience.

Well if you got busy WORKING instead of READING you might know the answer to this. How big is your list? Oh yeah .... 0 ... because you havent done shit but read.

I don't know how many or what kind of businesses YOU run but all my businesses either break even or LOSE money in the beginning. Its called business, welcome to it. You invest in it and work it and suck the returns out of it. Thats how it works.

No you're an idiot because you have made 0 sales after a couple of years. Atleast the guy making a sale after 6 months got off his ass and did something. All you've done so far is read some $27 ebooks and then come on here to whine like a little bitch because no one will tell you their uber secret affiliate marketing strategies to make gazillions of dollars.

If you think that way, then does the world really need another guy trying to make money online? Change your mindset or go work in McDonalds.

There's SPACE for everyone.

Go to Clickbank and see how many re-packaged, same-bullsh!t products are there...You think you they not selling well? Of course, they are.

Your sh!t doesn't have to be unique to sell, but it has to solve a problem.

So yeah, info products is a good way to go, although you should really do some affiliate stuff to get used to the industry, and then move onto creating your own product.

This is what I do. You will find a method that meets your goals, you enjoy, and that you can actually do without a ton of help.

Clickbank and adsense can be low hanging fruit to develop sites and build lists around.
