Yeah, I sold off my sites that had images next to ads. I can't be bothered changingJohn said:... for having pictures next to my ads. This is going to be a long three days.

This is the message I got in full other than where I have removed the URL. The only thing I had that was a problem was images next to the ads. It says in the text below 'specific images', but this was related to my travel sites and the images were generic, for instance on an article page about dining out there were images of wine glasses and food etc.
I've altered my layout and CTR has plumeted but Google seem to be happy now.
Hello,
While reviewing your account, we noticed that you are currently displaying Google ads in a manner that is not compliant with our policies. For instance, we found violations of AdSense policies on pages such as www.xxxxxxxxxxxx.com.
Publishers may not implement Google ads in a manner that disguises the ads in any way, for instance, by formatting neighboring content to look similar to the ads, or by making ads look like games or forum threads. Additionally, publishers may not attempt to associate specific images with the individual ads appearing on their sites. Such an implementation may confuse users who assume that the image is directly related to the advertiser's offerings.
Please make any necessary changes to your web pages in the next 3 business days. We also suggest that you take the time to review our programme policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies) to ensure that all your other pages comply with these policies.
Once you update your site, we will automatically detect the changes and ad serving will not be affected. If you choose not to make the changes to your account within the next three days, your account will remain active but you will no longer be able to display ads on the site. Please note, however, that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
The Google AdSense Team

I got *nearly* this same email on 12/14. However, they didn't give me a time deadline or a chance to get a certain site reenabled.

+++clipped duplicate part of letter mentioning image issues+++.............
As a result, we have disabled ad serving to the site.
Your AdSense account remains active. However, we strongly suggest that you take the time to review our program policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/policies ) to ensure that all of your remaining pages are in compliance.
Please note that we may disable your account if further violations are found in the future.

They disabled serving ads to the site in question, however, I had another site that was making much more money using really shady ad blending. They didn't even mention that one. That makes me think this is somehow an automated process. Maybe they have an algo that looks for certain
