I've got $222 to spend on just on web promotion, what do you guys recommend??

I've got about 200 youtube videos of a TV show I put on youtube, and each video clip has a link to my url.. and my url has an affilate banner... and over 2 months without me doing fu*k all, it's racked up $222 in comission..

Now... I wouldn't recomend this route... get you f*cked by the tv show producers, and well it's not a big deal.. But then again it's not bad being that I put up the youtube videos before I got into SEO and IM, and they were more out of love than out of money that I dedicated all my time on compressing the videos and uploading them..

Soo.... I said to myself, this is pretty much free money, and I'm going to reinvest it into marketing... if you had $222 to spare what would you spend it on..

Thanks...

Personally I would use it to buy a year of hosting and use the rest on domains, but that's because it's a year's worth of income if done right (maybe slower but a year none the less). Most importantly it's a good long-stretched learning experience.

Yeah buying hosting will be wise, I have a PR2 blog with a PR2 shopping site, both on the same shared webhost... The blog was entirely experimental and built up all backlinks from wickedfire's buy/sell/trade deals.. which cost me a total of $38...

$38 to get a 0 backlink site to a pr2??? That's worth it, IMO..

I haven't linked the blog to the shopping site yet, But I definately need to do it soon as it's getting a bit of traffic, I want to make the backlink count so I'm going to move it onto a different webspace.

I'll also purchase some backlinks for the site that has given me affiliate comission so far, in the hope of furthering more affiliate revenue.. as mentioned I have not done any seo on it what so ever, just got traffic from youtube, and a lousy 13-16 hits a day from google..

So that's 2 niches that I'm dabbling in at the moment, I want to get 10 niches under my belt, that way I can rest easy at night, and not have to worry when google plays around with it's algorithm and my main money site loses rankings and sales so quickly and easily.

Bluehost and hostgater offer good deals, and they're US based... which is a bonus. I have a UK based host, and a .co.uk domain on my shopping site, which makes me real money. And I rank very high on google.co.uk but I'm nowhere to be seen on the google.com searches...

Damn, I have an idea for a promotion technique - but it'll cost $223 to launch. Guess you just missed it...

well you can look at it as 222$ to spend or unlimited $'s to spend. If you're making a good return honestly how much do you have to spend? As much as you can get in credit right? Say you spend 15$ to make 30$, how much do you want to spend?

If your banking so easily with youtube why not pay someone to upload a bunch of videos to youtube with your site url?

cool my plan is to launch my own group of sites, in a few areas I'm interested in.

Video games
dating
Weight training
Learning foreign Languages
Weight training.
Salsa dancing
Events

and other speciality areas,

I read the book 4 hour work-week by tim ferriss, highly recommend the book to anyone! Especially those in SEO.

What I plan to do is dabble on this areas, and experiment with them, and the ones that monetize well, and I enjoy (very important) I'll develop them further.

I'm with tsohost at the moment, and for £40 p/a I get hosting which allowes up to 6 add-on domains... Which is alright for the average person, but tbh for me this is very limiting.

I'm going to buy some web hosting with a company that can cater for SEOers..

I'd like a webhost with unlimited addon domian capabilities, so In can run loads of websites from. do you guys have any recommendations?

So far I've found bluehost and hostgator..

are they any good?

Okay, here's the deal homely.

Hostgator = 999 hosted domain names. $10 USD a month.
namecheap.com = for your domain needs

That is all

If you're going to do sites you're interested in and you're on a budget, why not do a bunch of related ones that you can cross promote. Eg for weigh training:

Training (like stronglifts.com), Equipment, Supplements, Diet, Nutrition etc

Yes, if you have found a profitable method, why not outsource to multiply your earnings? Go post a listing on a freelance site to get work done for cheap.
