I really fucking hate Facebook ads. I had what I thought was going to be an awesome campaign going (my first successful)... good ad, good CTR (esp for facebook), and almost 1,100 clicks in just over 24 hours... "awesome", I thought. "Making bank", I thought. 1,100 clicks and how many conversions? a big, fat goose egg! WTF?!?!?!?

I personally never used facebooks ads after the first time i tried it. Conversions were absolute shit. Im surprsied people use it at all let alone profit on it.

You silly fuck. You just let over 1000 clicks roll in without checking your stats to see how it was going?

Give us specifics so we can tell you where you fucked up.

1000 clicks and no conversions? that sounds like a tracking error. If you don't mind, which product? (you can PM if you feel better doing that)

No traffic source is bullshit, ever! Its upto you how you utilize it. Stop fucking crying over it & check what you've done wrong.

So you just set it and never looked at conversions? Smart!

It's not that I didn't check on it - 1,100 clicks was only after 24 hours. And I had checked 1/2 way through but wasn't worried at the time (just altered bids and shit like that).

I just checked stats this morning and, although I paused the campaign yesterday, I had a sale today (I guess through a cookied user?) so all wasn't lost, I guess.

I'd love to see an autopsy of this dead campaign to try and track the ones I've started. My campaigns are very small (targeted) and low budget... no conversions yet, but we are talking like 20 clicks so far.

Starting to sound like DP in here. Boo hoo, I tried one ad and then didn't make money, how is that possible?
