To keep with that quote (Thomas Edison), I present you two arbi templates with nearly 0% CTR.

Although I have moved on, I THOUGHT these would work. Oh well.

Maybe someone wants to point out flaws?

I haven't done any arbi but in my opinion it looks like you have too much content. You may be satisfying your visitors with the on-page content which would lead them to close the page. If you leave your content open ended or missing desired information, and then putting your advertisements where that content should logically be you may increase your ctr.

I think too that if you havent tried them in more niches it might just be the niche.
Will my next post be a boobies thread? ^^

There's more to PPC arbitrage than just the landing page. I wouldn't be so quick to blame the page. How many visitors hit the page to get your 0% CTR? Where did they come from?

Almost any layout will get clicks if you're sending decent traffic, and showing targeted ads.

When you pick a niche, then reach way out on one side with your keywords to get the traffic... then your adsense is showing ads out to the other side of the niche... it's really easy to be showing ads that the users are not interested in.

I thought the point of arbitrage was to give the visitor little recourse other than clicking you ads. My three templates are simple compared to yours, but they are converting.

One thing I did notice, the more information I gave them, the less they clicked my ads. I shortened a few pages and the CTR picked up a bit.

both horrible... obviously you also have very little traffic too... i am done telling people where to find good templates, no one listens anymore.

Dudes, I said I moved on.. always trying new stuff.
I just want the discussion and provide examples / learning material.

My fucking black lab can design better than that!

hey fag, um were the fuck would I say something as dumb as in your sig? I don't care if you quote me but at least make it believable, nobody believes I would say shit like that!

As far as the first one goes, I think it has too many "distractions" on it. The ads are too spread apart and it looks whimsical. Perhaps most users click Back instead of an ad. The other one's not so bad.

But... I have found that in most cases, if a site gets consistently 0% CTR, it is unlikely to be caused by the page design itself. Especially if that template gets positive CTR in other niches.

In my experience of testing, the most likely cause for 0% CTR is bad ad copy. If the ad copy promises one thing, but the visitor immediately sees something other than he expected, then he will instantly go back.

One tip for this is to reverse engineer your setup. First check out what Adsense ads actually appear on the site, and then write your ad copy based on that information. :)

fag, nice find, think that is standard I don't think I put that there but thanks for looking me up! I am flattered - was seeing if there were any spam opportunities there!

I completely forgot about that craptastic place! nice find!

Actually, I would really take a look at the Keywords and what ads are showing. Assuming you use {Keyword} and insert it into the URL or Headers/Page, you should test at least some of the keyword and see what kind of ads you get, even if you are certain they are on focus! Just a couple of examples: MS office wasn't triggering office related ads, but would show medical keywords. MS Access would show Patent related ads. It's pretty obious no one looking for ms office * would actually click on these.
