I'm developing a Facebook app, don't want to give too much info away but it's a flash arcade game similar to some of the stuff you'd see on Xbox Live Arcade. As of now, the marketing ideas I have are:
- FB actions (like friend notifications, incentives for users to invite their friends, etc)
- Forum posting on video game forums
- Possibly media buys on gaming sites
- Possibly PPC and sending people to the app's FB page with the description/screenshots/install button
Was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this, and whether you think PPC would actually be successful. I have a couple hundred thousand to play with and I'm working on setting up a system to track playing time and in turn revenue earned per traffic source, but since this is something that needs to build up over time it'll be a little more complex than tracking regular cpa leads - so I don't want to throw down a shitload of money on testing too many different ideas.
If you have any ideas, let me know, thanks.
