I've been running some CPA offers and I just can't get them to perform to the same revenue levels as adsense. The same people who will click adsense will not take up a CPA offer. What I am looking at now is trying to find a balance between the two.:rasta:

I was totally ready to answer your relatively dumb question, until I clicked on the link in your signature. Then I wanted to beat you with your keyboard.

The thing about CPA is, for a general traffic site, you could be earning pennies or less per thousand pageviews. Adsense is always going to beat that.

If the traffic on your site is very targetted -- e.g. ringtones -- then CPA will typically beat Adsense hands down.

I agree with Andrew.. it all comes down to the content of your page. For the particular niche I am in, cpa is the way to go (otherwise I would be sending sales to my competitors via $0.10 clicks on adsense). if youre running adsense, just look at the web sites that are advertising on your banner displays.

I do feel the love, Chris :)

kidder: CPA performance largely depends on how you promote it, what niche the offer is presented with, what sort of traffic (type of visitors) is seeing your offer, etc. Try setting up a separate page where you presell your offer and send some targetted ppc traffic to it.

Alright, I see you've fixed your mistake, and I'm inclined to answer. CPAs are NOT supposed to replace adsense. Ever listen to the Shoemoney show? MULTIPLE STREAMS OF INCOME. So for your average whitehat seoed site CPAs are just more iceing on the cake. Now for arbitrage...well it gets more interesting. Some of us get a pretty good return on our investment in that area. I'm in a pretty good mood, so if you need some help shoot me a PM. I can't promise anything, but the worst thing I can say is no.
