Is it just me or is AM mainstream now?

I've been hearing AM ads on the radio (NYC) daily these days. Incentivized stuff like iwantmyfreelaptop.com and DVDs and seminars on how you can make millions while you're asleep, selling stuff you don't own or see.

But maybe I'm just noticing it more because I began doing it? I hope so.

I'd bet that's the primary reason. You'll probably start noticing a LOT of things you've never really picked up on before in advertisements. "Oh, I know THAT technique!" etc.

And there have always been people selling "get rich nowz" programs. I mean...look at real estate. Those midgets changed my life! /sarcasm.
 
A lot of it is probably due to google offering the radio ad spots online, and a lot of people target NYC. I used it for a while, it was mildly successful after you played around with it for a while.
 
If you stay up at night and watch tv, you will see commercials like, "get your credit report at getmysuperduperfree-creditreport.com!".
 
I didn't really think that was the case but one day I'm watching TV and this infomercial came on. It was some get rich on the internet system where they gave you 5 websites that each made passive income. I was dumbfounded that it had reached that level. Anyone seen this one? Its the one with the dumb looking brunette with the huge boobs talking about how she makes all this money while sleeping.

I have also heard the free laptop radio ads. I think a lot of these are done by bigger marketing companies/merchants leveraging every traffic source they can as opposed to affiliates.
